Her ceramics and sculpture practice explores process, repetition, fragility, connection, and the collaborative relationship between maker and material. With an interest in the intricate interplay between materials, individuals, and environments, Hannah utilizes ‘making’ as a method of thinking through these relationships and exploring their multifaceted aspects. Her film and photography works circulate themes of representation, activism, collaboration, and the socio-political landscape of Vancouver amidst rapid development and gentrification, concentrating on overlooked objects and mundane urban landscapes that offer subtle visual evidence of contemporary social issues. Hannah received a BFA from Simon Fraser University with a major in Film Production before transitioning to a visual arts practice, and is currently pursuing a Fine Arts Diploma at Langara College.
